Saheli gives Asian women a chance to get away from violent domestic abuse situations by providing an environment which is safe, culturally familiar and which helps them come to decisions of their own about their next steps. Information and advice is available to help them to make positive decisions for themselves and their children.

The primary mission of The Medaille Trust is the empowerment of women, men and children, who have been freed from the human-trafficking and the modern day slavery industry in the UK, enabling them to regain their dignity and self-worth. They support refugees, asylum seekers and other vulnerable migrants in Salford and East Manchester. At the Salford drop-in centre, they provide advice and information, socials space and activities, ESOL classes, creche, communal hot lunch and a rolling programme of courses, e.g., IT classes, women’s confidence, men’s wellbeing.
