The aims of our charity are:

  1. To advance the education of the public about issues relating to refugees and people seeking asylum or sanctuary.
  2. To promote health and well-being in Manchester among sanctuary seekers.
  3. To provide or assist in the provision of facilities for recreation or other leisure time occupations in the interests of social welfare to improve the conditions of life of people in need.
  4. To provide training to those people who have need of it for their benefit including refugees, people seeking sanctuary, and people refused asylum in the UK.
  5. The promotion of equality and diversity by promoting activities to create understanding and engagement between people from diverse backgrounds

Manchester Refugee Support Network (MRSN) is a grass-roots organisation directly managed by refugee communities, based in Manchester. For over 22 years, we have been providing practical support to those fleeing persecution, conflict, and various forms of injustice and abuse

  • Strengthening the influence and involvement of refugees in shaping the decisions and processes that affect their lives life in Manchester

The Growing Together project is a therapeutic horticulture initiative for asylum seekers and refugees, based at the Highfield Eco Allotment Project (the HEAP) in Levenshulme, Manchester.

They support refugees, asylum seekers and other vulnerable migrants in Salford and East Manchester. At the Salford drop-in centre, they provide advice and information, socials space and activities, ESOL classes, creche, communal hot lunch and a rolling programme of courses, e.g., IT classes, women’s confidence, men’s wellbeing.
